ABOUT US
It was more than 30 years ago that founder Kevin Page began working in groundworks, initially by delivering sand, gravel and tarmac for major companies. It was the experience he gained of these materials that formed the bedrock of his skills and knowledge base, and which he drew on to build the business. Today Kevin and his team have vast experience in every aspect of groundworks. The professionalism and flair they bring to each and every job has meant their reputation has grown to such an extent that they work not only for householders, but are often the first port of call for local councils too.
Kevin and his staff take pride in each and every job, from laying a block-paved drive or building a ramp for a disabled person to constructing a drop kerb or erecting a road sign for a local council.
Responding swiftly to enquiries and giving customers all the information they require on which to make a decision, are important to Kevin.
Kevin said “I will always tell customers exactly how it is – what a job may or may not entail or if what they want is not feasible given the constraints of a particular property. We are well aware that some companies will lead customers up the garden path! But we strive to give customers what they want and help them also through the design and planning stage. We will always be realistic with customers about what can be achieved, taking into consideration adverse weather conditions, and when they can expect us to start and finish a project,”.
The team know their craft inside and out. They will inspect the ground for a proposed project and advise clients accordingly.
“It’s not just about what’s on the surface, but also what’s underneath!”
Then there are the requirements for drainage which must not be overlooked, to ensure that water does not penetrate on to the highway. All essential items of a well-laid groundwork!
Every job is different and each job will have its own specifications relating to the kind of material and excavation which is required.
